Jacquelyn King-4th Grade Teacher

I'm Ms. King and this is my first year at Tarpey, teaching 4th grade! I began my journey with Clovis Unified in elementary school and graduated from Buchanan High. Go Bears! After high school, I obtained a Liberal Studies Degree with an emphasis in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) and credentials from Fresno State University in elementary subjects, history, and biology. This is my first year teaching, but I have worked and volunteered for CUSD since 2010. I am passionate about building relationships with my students by sharing my love of music, creativity, and learning. My goal is to get to know all of the students on campus and to help the students in my classroom meet their goals in mind, body, and spirit. I'm so happy to be a part of the Tarpey team! Go Spartans!

Katie Nesseth-6th Grade Teacher

My name is Katie Nesseth and I have been teaching since 2008 in various elementary schools and districts throughout the Central Valley. I obtained my multiple-subject teaching credential from Fresno State in the fall of 2007. Always endeavoring to continue my education, I was awarded a masters degree in curriculum and instruction in the spring of 2011 and simultaneously obtained my single-subject teaching credential in mathematics. For the last two years, I have taught sixth grade at an elementary school in Madera. This year, I was given the wonderful opportunity to join the 6th grade team here at Tarpey elementary. Tarpey has always and will always hold a special place in my heart. Ten years ago, I did my student teaching in a sixth grade class here at Tarpey and I am overjoyed to be returning to the school that ignited my passion for teaching and made me feel at home. I'm looking forward to getting to know students, parents, and staff members and can't wait to start another school year as a Spartan!

Robert Lopez-Plant Supervisor

My name is Robert Lopez and my family and I are from Sanger, CA.  I have been in Clovis Unified School District for 5 years.  I am very excited and pleased to now be a part of the Tarpey Elementary School.  I am looking forward to kicking off the new school year and serving the children, parents, and community of Tarpey!

Erica Green-Transition Counselor

As the Elementary Transition Counselor serving the Buchanan Area, I am thrilled to be a part of the Tarpey Spartan family! I have my masters in School Counseling, and I completed all of my internship hours with the Buchanan Area Transition Team, so for me this is coming back to where I got my start in counseling. A little about myself; I have a 3 year old daughter who keeps me very busy! My husband and I love to be outdoors and I enjoy training for and competing in 'Spartan' races. I have high expectations for the 2016/17 school year, I look forward to building relationships and empowering our students to be the best they can be! I have an open door policy and welcome anyone to come say hello while you are on campus!
