Welcome! Thank you for stopping in to see what's up with our program... we are happy to share it with you! The ASES program is provided to our school by a grant from the State of California. This grant enables our students to participate at no charge to their families.
The After School Enrichment and Safety (ASES) Program opened this year on August 16, 2021 with students in-person. This is a return to program as we knew it to be before the pandemic. The Tarpey program sees students Monday through Friday each week.
Students will meet their tutor in the MPR at the end of the instructional day. Each tutor will be waiting at their assigned table with their iPad for students to sign in. We pride ourselves on creating a safe, engaging, positive setting for our students, giving them an opportunity for social emotional interaction during our learning schedule. Our ASES students also receive math intervention and homework assistance each day.
Students involved in co-curricular activities will check in before reporting to their activity and return to their ASES class upon the conclusion of the activity. Each Wednesday the tutors also offer enrichment and health/wellness activities for their students, focusing on the themes for each month.
Hours of Operation

Each year the target population differs according to the needs of our community. This year our ASES program is currently open to Foster and Homeless youth, English Learners, Students of Trauma, and Economically Disadvantaged students. Teachers are also able to recommend academically struggling students to the program through our site Student Study Team.
