Starting as early as the second grade, academically gifted students can take part in Clovis Unified School District's Exceptionally Capable Learners (ECL) program. This enrichment/extended learning program serves students in second through third grade. Student's test scores, grades, and teacher recommendations are the methods used for placing students in ECL.  

Here's what we're looking for:

Classroom performance
Great behavior
Work ethic, motivation, enjoys challenges
Strengths in reading and writing
Must score 80% or above on the end of the year CUSD ELA (iCAL)
Teacher recommendation
Parent permission
